Qur'an

Dar al- Hamd offers courses in all fields related to the Qur'an. Our core Tajweed course consists of 4 levels:

  • Level 1: Arabic letters, al-Qa`edah al-Baghdadiyyah, Intro to Tajweed, rulings on isti`adhah & basmallah
  • Level 2: Maratib al-Tilawah, Adab al-Tilawah, Rulings of Mim Sakinah, Rulings of Nun Sakinah & tanwin
  • Level 3: Mudud, Waqf & Ibtida, Mustalah al-Dabt
  • Level 4: Ijaza in Tajweed. Student completes the entire Qur`an

Our standard semester offers a student three teaching hours a day, two hours in their area of specialization, and 1 hour in a class of their choice.
In addition to our core Tajweed course we offer the following classes as well:

Dar al-Hamd offers courses in Arabic Language. Our Core Arabic Language course consists of 5 levels:


Dar Al Hamd's Classical Arabic Program is designed for non-Arabic speaking students from a variety of backgrounds, from beginning to advanced levels. Five unique levels of skill-based instruction are provided. The beginning levels 1-3 lay the foundation with the necessary language skills of listening, speaking, reading and writing. The advanced levels of 3-5 build on the foundation and focuses verbal articulation, phonetics, reading and comprehension, writing, morphology, rhetoric and critical thinking in the Arabic language along with many other important skills.
 
In addition to the Core Arabic Language course we offer:

  • Nahw
  • Sarf
  • Balagah
  • Calligraphy
  • Iraab of Qur'an (Qur'anic Grammar)
  • Mufridat al-Qur'an (Qur'anic Vocabulary)

To sign up for an online course, simply follow these steps:

  2. Follow the instructions to create an account.
  3. Click on the item above that you wish to sign up for. (You will then be redirected to the 2Checkout website to complete your purchase).
  4. Select the number of hours that you wish to sign up for, and then update your cart.
  5. If you would like to sign up for more courses, click on the “Back Button ” on your browser to return back to the online courses page, and repeat steps 3 and 4.  If not, simply “Checkout”.
  6. Dar al-Hamd will then contact you to set up a convenient time schedule for your lessons.
